3D Imaging on the Vatech Green X
Our Vatech Green X CBCT system delivers low‑dose 3D imaging, a 16×15 cm field of view, and
AI‑powered diagnostics for exceptional clarity.
The Aspire Imaging Difference
Built around the Green X. Built around your patients.
The Vatech Green X was specified for Aspire Clinic because it combines what referring clinicians need most: the broadest diagnostic field in its class, Green Scan low-dose technology, and full AI-powered software — in a single 4-in-1 unit. Where standard CBCT systems ask you to choose between coverage, dose, and capability, the Green X does not.
At Aspire Clinic, Fitzrovia, the clinicians reading your referred scans hold faculty positions at Aspire Dental Academy — where they teach postgraduate dentists how to plan, acquire, and act on three-dimensional imaging data. CBCT is not a supplementary service here. It is where treatment planning is grounded.
“The broadest field of view. The lowest dose. The full AI suite. One unit — one referral.”

Clinical Applications
Where The Green X Changes The Diagnosis
Green Scan Technology and a 16×15 cm field of view do not simply expand what CBCT can capture
— they change the clinical decisions that follow. These are the disciplines where that breadth is decisive.
Implant Planning
The Green X's 16×15 cm field captures full-arch bone volume, density, and morphology in a single acquisition — supporting single-unit and full-arch implant planning with equal confidence. Ez 3D-i AI software delivers mandibular canal tracing, virtual tooth extraction, and 3D distance measurement as standard, with no additional licence required.
Endodontic Diagnosis
Root canal morphology, periapical pathology, and vertical root fractures that periapical radiographs do not resolve. The Green X's three-dimensional volume allows cross-sectional review in any plane — presenting endodontic anatomy with the spatial clarity that guides accurate and conservative treatment.
Orthodontic Assessment
The Green X's 4-in-1 capability includes full cephalometric acquisition in the same unit, with EzOrtho AI software delivering automated cephalometric analysis and one-click skeletal tracing. Insight Pan captures 41 panoramic slices at 0.2 mm — eruption pathology, impaction, and arch form visible at a level no conventional OPG achieves.
Periodontal & Bone Assessment
The 16×15 cm field of view captures buccal plate integrity, furcation involvement, infrabony defect morphology, and crestal bone levels across a full arch in a single scan — enabling surgical planning for grafting, guided tissue regeneration, and periodontal surgery with three-dimensional confidence.
Oral Surgery Planning
Third molar proximity to the inferior alveolar nerve, bone density at complex extraction sites, and surgical access for impacted teeth — all resolved in three dimensions and reviewable in any cross-section. Surgical decisions made on Green X data carry a measurably different level of anatomical certainty.
TMJ & Airway Analysis
The Green X's 16×15 cm field captures the full craniofacial complex — condylar morphology, joint space, and airway volume — in a single acquisition. Supporting orthognathic planning, TMD assessment, and sleep-disordered breathing investigation without a secondary scan or compromised coverage.
Why the Green X
Not all CBCT
systems are equal
The dental imaging market spans a wide range of CBCT systems. The Vatech Green X was selected for Aspire Clinic because it outperforms on the criteria that directly affect the quality of referred scan data — dose, coverage, and the software available to act on what the scan shows.
- Green Focus Technology low-dose acquisition protocol built into the Green X as a core specification, not a mode setting. Your patients receive the smallest clinically appropriate dose without any reduction in diagnostic field or image quality.
- 16×15 cm field of view The largest available in the Green X class, capturing the complete dentition, alveolar structures, and craniofacial anatomy in a single acquisition. Full-arch cases, orthognathic planning, and multi-disciplinary assessment in one scan.
- Insight Pan — 41 panoramic slices at 0.2 mm The Green X's panoramic capability does not produce a single OPG projection. Insight Pan generates 41 cross-sectional panoramic slices at 0.2 mm intervals, providing layered detail unavailable from any conventional panoramic unit.
- Ez 3D-i AI Suite, included Segmentation of 135 anatomical structures, root canal and mandibular canal tracing, CBCT-to-intraoral scan merging, and virtual implant planning. No subscription. No per-user charge. Permanently included with every Green X system.
- 4-in-1 capability CBCT, OPG (Insight Pan), cephalometric, and intraoral capability in a single unit. Referred patients attend once; referring clinicians receive complete imaging without fragmented appointments.
- Vatech: world No.1 in 3D dental imaging The only CBCT manufacturer to design and produce every component in-house: sensor, generator, and software. The Green X is not an assembled system. It is purpose-built.
"The Vatech Smart X is built around Smart Focus precision and a finer endo voxel resolution — the right specification when a single-tooth case demands maximum resolution above all else."
Common Questions
CBCT Imaging Questions Answered
-
How do I refer a patient for a CBCT scan at Aspire Clinic?
Referrals are submitted through our dedicated Dentist Portal with clinical indication and preferred field of view specified. Our clinical team reviews each referral before confirming the appointment, ensuring the scan type selected is appropriate for your patient's case. Your patient attends for their scan; you receive a full DICOM dataset and, where requested, a certified radiologist's written report.
-
Is CBCT radiation exposure safe for my patients?
CBCT delivers a significantly lower dose than medical CT, and the Vatech Green X's Green Scan Technology reduces this further — applying low-dose acquisition protocols as a core system specification rather than a selectable mode. At Aspire, we apply the ALARA principle to every referral, selecting the smallest clinically appropriate field of view before every scan, in line with current SEDENTEXCT guidelines.
-
What is the difference between CBCT and a standard dental X-ray?
A conventional dental X-ray produces a two-dimensional projection in which structures overlap and depth information is absent. CBCT captures a full three-dimensional volume reviewable in any cross-section and any plane. For implant planning, endodontic diagnosis, surgical assessment, and orthodontic evaluation, that spatial information changes what it is possible to know before treatment begins.
-
What field of view options are available, and how do I specify the right one?
The Vatech Green X accommodates fields of view from a small FOV (≤5×5 cm) for single-tooth endo cases through to a large FOV (>8×8 cm) for full bimaxillary assessment — with quadrant and single-jaw options between. If you are uncertain which field of view is appropriate for your patient's case, our clinical team is happy to advise at the referral stage. Referrals can specify FOV or request a clinical recommendation.
-
How long does a Green X scan take?
Green Scan Technology acquires a full scan in 14 to 40 seconds depending on field of view. A complete patient appointment — including positioning, a brief clinical assessment, and an initial image review where appropriate — typically takes 20 to 30 minutes.
-
What data does the referring dentist receive?
All referring clinicians receive a full DICOM dataset via secure transfer at no additional cost. Where a formal radiologist's report has been requested, a structured written interpretation by a UK-certified dental radiologist is provided alongside the DICOM file. Data can be forwarded to any third-party specialist involved in the patient's care on request.
Precision imaging, ready when you are.
Every referral to Aspire Clinic is reviewed by our clinical team before an appointment is confirmed. We will advise on field of view, scan type, and clinical indication — so your patient arrives with the right scan already specified, and you receive data you can act on immediately.
